The most thorough article I found was at ‘Nature of Home’ Alocasia Flower: What It Means & How to Get Yours to Blossom.

Oops it didn’t look like it was going to let me paste that. Those are not my words. They are directly from article.

And it didn’t. Good. Don’t want to look like plagiarist. Whew.

Love this discussion of how to do this! I too am interested in knowing how to do it! I saw an amazing you tube the other day on a prize winning rare Anthurium strap leaf pollination on a rare breed never before successfully done. I imagine its something like that which would mean you might need another plant that is also flowering to collect the pollen from, but i could be wrong. Also, not being a horticulturist or plant seller (i dunno may you are or want to be), what would you do with all the thousands of seeds produced if successful pollination occurs?

Im actually looking for advice on that too!! Im very new to this and I’ve never been through this before so I’m not exactly sure on what happens. Do I keep the seeds? What do i do with them if so?

Thanks for supportive comments. I think I should mention one more thing I read. One article said that the seeds have a short period of viability so they should be planted soon after collecting.

You could opt to sell the seeds online (Etsy probably) if it seemed too overwhelming to go into full seedling production. I myself am overwhelmed by the additional 25-30 corm babies my Alocasias made on top of the rest of my plants. I can’t even imagine trying to sprout a thousand or more seeds (that number is assuming they have similar number seeds to Anthuriums so could be way off)… unless that was my full time job. Sounds exciting tho! Retirement is looking more and more fun. 😜
