So this is just some of the damage raccoons did last night. Can I save the herbs? If I dig them out and replant them? How does everyone keep raccoons out of their gardens?

Oh my goodness I’m sorry that happened. I don’t see why you couldn’t repot them. We have raccoons but we also have 2 territorial terriers that don’t mess around. But you also have a lovely open area there, where mine is fenced in. Someone mentioned in a previous post (about tomatoes) using bitter apple spray. You might try looking up some natural remedies that annoy them. Please update. I’d like to know how everything turned out.

I will! I did go to the store and got an indoor green house to try.

My grandpa used to use granulated fox urine to repel pests (animals smell the urine and think it’s dangerous to be in the area). It used to keep deer out of his garden if he put some around the edges. Not sure how it’ll work for raccoons, but I can’t imagine they’d like it, either. Might be worth a shot!

I don’t know what they’re called but my grandma uses this cat… house? Roof? They’re mostly mesh and shaped somewhat like a roof, kind of a dome shape. They keep the bird from pecking at the seeds, they may work on raccoons. Sorry that this message is a train wreck 😂
