I just came back from a vacation and there are so many little flies around my plants. Does anybody have any suggestions how to prevent and get rid of them. Thx in advance!

    You can but sticky traps for the flies on Amazon! Helped me with my gnat infestation completely!

    Fungus knats! I sprinkled cinnamon on the soil while I was waiting for an order of sticky traps to arrive

    Me and my plants just spent a few months at war with the dreaded fungus gnats. This is what worked for me in the end: Let your plants dry out as much as possible (without killing them, obvs). Makes sure there’s no water accumulated around the bottom of your pots either. Buy yellow sticky traps from Amazon to catch/kill adult gnats. These also will help you to determine whether the infestation is getting better or worse. Keep using them at least until you’re sure the infestation is over. When you have to water the plants, use a mix of 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide to 3 parts water which will kill off larva and eggs in the soil without hurting the plant. If gnats persist, let the plants dry out as much as possible again. Go on eBay and buy a couple of ounces of Gnatrol and follow the directions that come with the package. It’s a powder that you mix with water and contains a bacteria that targets and kills, specifically, fungus gnat larva. PS Don’t put diatomaceous earth in/on the soil, no matter what you read online. It’s not worth it! If it gets wet, it turns into a clay. If it gets mixed into the soil, it will make the soil stay damp longer which fungus gnats love! Plus it’s super unwieldy and can get very messy real fast.

      Hi Rose 🥀 I have a question regarding the mix of pero and hydro you suggested above in the water mix. Do you use this mix regularly or is it just to get rid of the gnats etc ? Thank you 😊
