Hey guys! I posted in another group but it’s literally crickets. The surrounding posts got comments and I’m here like 🥲 Can someone help? Might be shock from transferring pots since the other was too big but if anyone knows for sure, I’d appreciate the help. Here’s my post from the other group: I got this beauty for Mother’s Day. Full of white flowers. I had to repot him because his pot was too big (totally my fault) but I’m not sure if he’s coming back or still mad at me lol. Planta says I should water him today but the self watering pot I had him in kept him pretty moist so I wanted to skip again. Soil isn’t as moist as it was in the other pot but he could go for a little water if I forced it. What do y’all think? Any tips? Thanks 🙏🏽

There is this powder you can get to do transplants and have a higher chance of it not having an fit, I forget the name exactly but, if you watch people repotting on YouTube it’s gonna pop up eventually plus it’s great to learn new techniques for repotting

Oh and as far as the problem, is that some plants require time to dry out their soil and roots. So I’d honestly repot with appropriate soil and drainage which is a bonus cus bottom watering is so much easier, and give her time to dry out her soil. You might have a case of root rot.

Calla Lillies are perennial plants with bulbs. This means that they will naturally die back every year but resprout the following year. Its common for these to be sold at mothers day because that is the time of year the flower. After the blooms die so does the foliage. (Dormancy). Just trim back all the green stalks to the bulb base, keep in a cool dark place until next spring, then start to water and they will come back.

Omg so I thought this!! My mom was telling me about mums and not to buy them when they are already bloomed. Mine died terribly, I felt so bad for it. Anyway, that idea popped back up but I didn’t go with the feeling. You saying this is golden, thank you!
