Has anybody tried using a macrame hanger instead of a moss pole for you aroids? I think moss poles and trellises take away from the jungle vibe. If you saturate the hanger with water and nutrients, will the aerial grab on and continue climbing?

Seems like it may work! I do t think youâd need to water the hanger, just attach the vines as they grow âşď¸

Thatâs a gorgeous planter!

For some vines like macroglossus and some smaller leaved pothos you can train them to grow along your walls with pushpins and string. You can literally have plants covering your walls if you have decent lighting and keep the roots healthy, for a true jungle vibe. You might have to repaint your walls when you take them down but thatâs easy.

What people like about moss poles is it allows the plant to root to something thatâs easily watered. This could work but if your looking for growth, Iâd probably recommend a moss pole just because itâs a tried and true. Plus if you ever go on vacation moss poles are great at trapping humidity and water which can help a plant stay âwateredâ longer while not home.
