What southern seeder said. It’s likely that it has some root rot. You may want to remove the plant from it’s pot, check the roots (they should be white or light colored and firm. If they are brown and mushy you will need to cut off the mushy parts with a clean pair of shears. If there are still enough healthy roots you can place the plant in some fresh, well draining soil and make sure it’s is getting enough light. If the roots are mostly gone then I would place the plant in water, place in a bright area out of direct sunlight and wait for new roots to grow.
