i ! i recently bought an anthurium plant and it says to water with 6 ice cubes every week which i personally don’t think it’s enough water. if you have an anthurium , how often do you water , how much and what method? thank you !💖🦩

I bottom water mine about once a week. It gets okay West indirect light and the foliage is thriving. Personally I don’t think the ice cube method is the best idea

Just a reminder to top water every few waterings to rinse out any built up minerals in your soil 🙏🏼 I also bottom water once a week and have it near a humidifier

I hate that everything says give ice cubes because it’s not really that great for the plants like orchids to have their roots exposed to ice. Eventually harms them. Take 6 ice cubes, let them melt to room temp and there ya go. Lol.
2 LikesAnthuriums like this one prefer to dry out between waterings. I have several and they typically get watered every 7-10 days. All of mine are planted in a chunky aroid mix. Too much water will quickly lead to root rot. Regarding ice: these are tropical plants that are used to getting warm rainfall every day followed by drying out in the sun. They are never exposed to ice in their native habitat.
