I paid for a planta subscription last year, it ran out this year, do not feel like renewing but it started asking me to water plants that do not need water. Is it trying to kill my plants?

Yeah, there are so many factors that play a role… I never rely on their schedule. You can turn it off too if it’s annoying

You can set your own schedule for watering!! I use the recommendation as a starting point and go from there

I honestly use the app so that I can keep track of the last time I watered/fertilized a plant. I have a lot and ADHD and I also use the schedule as a ballpark. The “snooze for 2 days” is a great thing for me bc sometimes it’s not ready yet but I also know I’ll forget 1-2 days later anyway so it reminds me. Also keeping track of growth is fun.

Exactly why I looked for a plant app in the first place. I do a lot of snoozing. If I think maybe tomorrow I leave it unmarked. Plus I have gotten better ideas about how to keep myself from overwatering—like buying a water gauge and watching cache trays. And a better idea of how much misting. It has given me courage to try some plants types I’ve been unsuccessful with in the past, but still love.

I’m new to plants and Planta. I’m keeping my own plant diary and just looking at my plants much more often. Figure I’ve got to get to know them and keep them alive on my own if this little “family” is going to make it! Love having you all for moral support though!!! ❤️
