Any tips for someone who impulsively buys houseplants, I got some huge ones for free because customers refused to buy them and now I’m struggling to keep everything in my room. I wanna keep the birds of paradise near windows but I don’t know where they should go. The metalhead alocasia is also in the way a bit…

Shelves! You have space on those walls. Keep building vertically and you can fit more 🫣😂

I think it’s very addictive. I’ve literally started propagating about a month to a month and a half ago and yesterday I realized I literally have over 15 new types of plants. Not to mention sone duplicates, so probably over 20 new plants in all in that short period of time. I am, however, gifting some of the duplicates once they are rooted and into pots to friends. But it’s fun and when you get them free or cheap it’s not a bad hobby.

So I am a plant hoarder too, but what I do that seems to help is I give propagations to friends and family members as gifts. Your monstera is huge, and you could easily trim her back and start propagating in water. It will take additional room for now, but when you give them away, it will free up some space. Also, it always makes me feel better because giving a piece of one of my plants helps me feels like I’m spreading the love of nature around.

I do the same. Sharing propagations of spreading the love 💕….plus sometimes they share back 😬
