I have this elephant ear plant. (Think that’s what it is) When I got it about a year ago it had a few more stems but very quickly I lost them and have been left with these two that are doing well for the past 6months. Just wondered if anyone had any tips of how to get new leaves? Thank you. I’m very much a big indoor plant lover but the survival rate of my plants is 50/50 šŸ˜‚

I had one that grew babies, placed about 5’ from a west facing window. I believe they like to dry out a little between waterings. Should grow babies if roots are healthy.

Yeah this app tells me to let it dry out before watering. It’s a life saver!! Never even thought about repotting it. šŸ˜‚ I’ll add it to the list of plants that do need repotting and hopefully that helps. Thank you so much c

Maybe try a self watering pot and airy mix. That’s what I have mine in now and it’s given me 7 new leaves this monthšŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø

It’s an Alocasia Polly. Alocasias are known to sprout minimal leaves and have older leaves die off when producing new ones. Usually once the stalk gets larger it can produce more
