Hi all! I posted here before regarding my pink princess because two of the leaves were a totally different color. Some people thought they got sunburned, but one of them (the smaller brown) is now so wilted. Should I just trim it off? The rest of the plant is growing just fine and getting new leaves every now and then. Would love some advice regarding the two brown leaves and if I should snip them. The bigger one that’s reddish feels sturdy but I haven’t seen growth in a while. Thank you!!

I always snip…I can’t stand looking at the failure leaves lol. Plus I think it encourages new growth when the connection is finally gone and there are no more nutrients getting exchanged in the undesirable leaves.

Thank you! Yeah especially the smaller one, it’s like totally limp now. Is it best to cut right at the base? And you think the same for the large leaf too? Makes me sad to cut that one away but it might be better for the plant…

Yes, as close to the base as you can. I know, it is devastating to cut them….but it’s better in the end. Think of the leaves to come and you won’t miss it!

Ok sadly, for some reason another leaf turned brown and one that started coming in is totally coming in dead! Do you think I’m under watering? This was after cutting off both leaves from last week.

Maybe a lighting issue? It looks moist and I don’t see anything going on with the stems or other leave?

I think maybe you’re not rotate the plant so that the leaves on the backside get sun…consider it’s always the ones furthest from the window that are dying

That’s a great point! The window gets so much sunlight I was afraid it was burning but I should start rotating.
