This is my moms plant and it is not doing very well….. I was wondering what I could do to help it?? It was just re-potted last week and the soil is not very wet. When I scanned it in the app it said it was in a too dark spot and over watered. Some of the leaves have fallen off so I was wondering if I could put them in water and grow them that way and if so how?? I was trying to not re-pot it since it was just done. The plant attached is what it used to look like…. Please help!!! Thanks in advance!

Soil looks really dense I would pull it out and see what the roots look like. Trim away any mushy stuff and put it back in some soil with extra drainage medium. Also pot may be a bit big. The pot should only be 1-2 inches larger than the root ball. Edit - I just saw you said you just repotted, my bad. Did roots look okay and they took up a good amount of that pot?? If so, it may just be stressed from the recent repotting. The fallen leaves look a little shriveled but they can be rested back on top of the soil and may or may not begin to grow roots and propagate.

Even if you just repoted, I would still repot it in a soil better suited for succulents. You need at least 1/2 of it to be draining material, like perlite or pumice rocks. Even decomposed granite will work. It does look like it rotted for lack of sun and excess of water. The black spot on the middle of the stem is rot. I would chop above it, let that top part callous for a couple of days, and then pot it next to the base. You need to cut the base below the black spot. You can lay the fallen leaves around in the same pot to try and propagate them, but success will be unlikely because they look kind of sick. Try exposing it to more light, first bright indirect light, and then gradually move it closer to a full sun location.
