I rescued this guy yesterday and I’m hoping to get it healthy. I’ve already taken a bunch of babies off to prop but I’m thinking they all might have to go when I repot. Aren’t those stems supposed to be lighter? Any tips appreciated.

Hcurtis71This plant is in gorgeous condition. The stems are normally exactly that color and all of your babies are in perfect condition with no browning anywhere. It’s up to you and your preference but they can stay or go either way is fine. Beautiful plant!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the input. I think I might just have a look at the roots and see if I can split it or if it can stay put. I got this at Home Depot for $15!

MelissaGreat deal. Hey you could root the babies (or not root them) and either give them away or sell them for a couple dollars each online. Thins it out if you want to and doesn’t overload you with 50 plants. It is gorgeous though.

LeafmealoneI had the same concern when I rescued one as well. I had never seen the stems that color but I’ve seen many since then at my local plant shops.

Took a long time but decided to make 3 bigger plants and a ton of babies which I gave a ton away.
