How often should I feed tropical indoor plant?
Depends on a lot of things such as temperature, how much light they are receiving, whether they are established or barely rooting, which fertilizer you use, etc. The general rule of thumb is, if you are using a liquid fertilizer, fertilize with every watering at 1/2 the strength suggested on the fertilizer instructions. This applies when it is growing season (Spring and Summer), but it can also apply during the Fall and Winter IF your plants are still growing and the conditions in your house are kept constant (same hours of light and constant temperature). During Fall and Winter, you can fertilize at 1/4 strength OR only fertilize every other watering or once a month. If using a slow release fertilizer, just apply the amount directed on the bottle and usually you need to reapply every 4-6 months. Hope that helps 😊
