Beautiful, and heating mats are a great idea! I finished mine (not a milsbo, but a Baggebo) last month and only have a few plants in it for now. :)

Welllll, the cabinet was $300, the shelving was $250-ish, lights were $40, fans were approx $20, so double that for the two cabinets. I had to buy a hole saw attachment for my drill to cut through the top and bottom for cords, so that was probably under $20. I bought desk cord plugs for said holes which were under $10. The heating mat came in a $40 propagation set, and I only have one. I can’t even price the plants…some were $150, but most of them were less than $80. So, uh…yeah. 😬

I love it!! Nice job!! Are the ends mesh and not closed glass on the Baggebo?

Mine cost $200 total but is definitely smaller. I followed the instructions from the influencer @ohtheplacesyoullgrow (on instagram). She has links for everything to buy!

Yeah they’re mesh but I sealed them with a shrink wrap window sealing kit and you can’t even tell!

And is that stratum? If so, give me tips on using it! Tysm

The square containers are plastic dessert cups from Dollar Tree!! 😆 They work soooo well!! And yes, Fluval Stratum. This is my first time using it, but it’s basically the same as growing in leca, with it being a substrate in water. I just fill the cup to a certain height that covers where I want the cutting to root, then I make sure leaves are not in the Stratum, and then fill it with water to soak it all, then dump out some water so that the water is maybe 3/4 of the way up the Stratum. It shouldn’t be soupy. I check the cups daily and refill them, as I find with the fans that evaporation occurs quickly. Just don’t let the Stratum dry out. Keep the cutting moist inside the Stratum, but not soaking wet. I had roots on one cutting in a week and a half!! It wasn’t enough to transplant it out into epiphytic substrate yet, but I do find that with the multiple cuttings I have rooted over the past month in Stratum that the roots are more numerous, more sturdy, and plump growing in it. I’ve rooted in water and sphagnum before, but Stratum is like BLACK GOLD CAVIAR!! I love it!! Very, very happy with the results I’ve achieved.
