hey! i was just wondering if anyone has any advice on whether or not you need to trim a money tree. personally i love the wilder look with the huge new leaves itās sprouted out over the past couple weeks, but i also want to keep it healthy! any suggestions are appreciated :)
You donāt necessarily need to. It does promote new growth, but I wouldnāt prune this particular plant unless you want to have it in a certain shape. I like the big leaves too, so Iād leave them! It looks like itās happy and healthy in its spot

I put a tiny one on my husbandās home office desk, and it has done the same exact thing. I also love the way it looks, but Iāve been recently contemplating repotting it in a slightly larger pot (because it is beginning to look a little too-heavy). However, Iām a bit of a chicken and donāt want to ruin a good thing. Iām very new to interior plants, and have sadly murdered a few already. š Any advice for a novice?
I personally have a more hands-off approach than some when it comes to house plants. I wouldnāt pot up this plant unless itās very root bound. The size of the foliage is not necessarily indicative of the size of the root ball. If youāve looked and see that it does need repotting, only go up 1-2 inches in pot size. Donāt mess too much with the roots. Be prepared that your plant may experience shock after repotting, but it should bounce back if the other conditions are good. So, like you said in the beginning, donāt ruin a good thing! Unless itās necessary of course. The nice thing about money trees is that theyāre fairly common, so if worse comes to worse, you can buy another one. Although, I think you got this! šŖš¼ Good luck š
