I have a question! I’ve heard misting doesn’t do too much help with plants that love humidity. What can I do with those plants if I don’t mist them? Or should I just keep misting daily?

Definitely don’t mist daily, that would put the plant at risk for fungal issues. Grouping plants closely together increases humidity naturally! And heart leaf philodendrons are hardy so they should be able to thrive in average room humidity :)

Oh I didn’t know that misting daily was bad!! Thank you for the heads up, because that’s the last thing I want. I’ll just keep my plants close together :)

I used to mist every day and can confirm I ended up with fungal issues on my two most robust plants at the time. (I was able to save them) Misting isn’t necessary, honestly. But if you really want, get a humidifier and place it in a higher location than your plants. OOORRRR if you have windows in your bathroom, you could keep the plant in there!

Except air plants. If the humidity level is below 60, I mist them twice a day. But I don’t water them at all and we generally have humidity levels of around 20.

It’s crazy how much house humidity varies! My house’s humidity is usually between 40 and 60 percent

Wow, I actually need a dehumidifier because the level in my house gets into the 60s! At least it results in free water that my plants love to drink 😊

You can also put trays of pebbles and water around them to boost the humidity in the area

These are all great suggestions!! One thing to note too is that house humidity usually drops in the winter so your plants that were fine for the summer might suddenly need more help! Definitely recommend a small tabletop humidifier near your plants if you don’t want an entire room to be more humid.
