Hi! I recently this bird’s nest fern as a gift and, while reporting it, noticed this small white worms living in the soil. Can anyone tell me what they are and if they’re harmful?

Nematodes are white roundworms and are commonly present in potting soil???

Are they worms or centipedes? I had white centipedes in my plant and apparently they’re good for the plant and feed other potential harmful microbes. I hated them and just repotted the whole plant.

They looked more like small centipedes with segmented bodies. From my Google research, they looked like garden symphalins and may like to munch on new growth so I *hopefully* got rid of them all before repotting

They look like what I found in one of my plants. Would definitely get rid of them if you can, just one little worm managed to k!ll one of my favorite plants. Found him right in the middle of the stalk at the base. Lost the whole plant, couldn’t save it.
