Hi all, I’m looking into getting a monstera plant and was wondering how much light one really needed. i love monsteras and think they’re beautiful but my room doesn’t catch a ton of light. here’s a layout of my room. the west window (W) has a desk and is full of plants already so there’s no room to set a bigger pot, even in the floor. the north/northeast window doesn’t catch much light at all. would a monsters be able to survive there by the window? (i live in western kentucky, if that helps any)

    How big is the window facing N/NE? I have a backyards sliding door facing E/NE and plants do well there.

    They don’t require much light!! They will grow faster and larger with light, but don’t require much. As long as it’s not in complete darkness, she will be okay :) you can also take her outside for a few hours a week so she can see the sun but make sure not to leave her out for too long or else her leaves will burn (i make this mistake too much in florida lol)

    You could also buy a grow light from Amazon or somewhere to supplement light for it in any place in the room! That’s what I’ve done for plants that I wanted to put in darker areas of my home
