CraiCrai

Hoping for some guidance from someone with more experience with Caladiums than I have. I bought her about a week ago from a nursery. She came home standing nice and tall and now she’s beginning to sag. Is this something I should stake up and reinforce, or is this ‘ok’ and I leave it alone? Also - silly question but is the new growth a new leaf or a flower coming in? Any help / tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

i think you should leave it, in my experience staking the plant usually ends in the leaf dying. and that’s a new leaf, a flower usually only appears outside and has a white tip and a bulbous base

It could be reaching towards the light. Is it leaning towards a window?
