I just got this deiffenbachia(Dumb Cane) off of clearance, and it had a lot of brown on the leaves. I chopped bad leaves away and looked for any sign of spider mites, thrips, or mealybugs but didn’t see any. The first pic is before a cleaned it up, and the second after. I think the pot might be too big, but I’m unsure if it mattered enough to stress out the plant by reporting. And how much water do they like? Any other advice and/or tips would be greatly appreciated!

nice job cleaning her up! I wouldn’t repot just yet. give her time to acclimate to her new environment and the trim she just got 💇🏽‍♀️. they don’t like to completely dry out like hoyas do, but don’t water too soon. I would wait until about half the soil is dry (I use a chopstick for this with mine) and then water it thoroughly! It also looks like it’s getting a nice amount of light there too 🌱🪴💚
