Hey! Going out of town again for about 9 days and trying to figure out how to set my plants up for success while I’m gone. I have about 20+ plants, 6 of them are being propagated in water. Most of my plants are tropical plants. Just bought two plant lights and wonder if I should just keep those on while I’m away or what? Any guidance would be helpful. Thank you in advance

During the hot days I will recommend to keep those plants that need to be watered offer far away from the windows. I also use a self watering for plants, there are many types from bulbs to drip irrigation, or this other method from the picture. Give a shower to yours plants on the day you are planning to travel or the night before, specially to the tropical pants. Hope this is helpful to you!

Thank you so much. This is really helpful. If I’m not here how would I know which plants need to be moved away from the windows. Even if I look at the weather forecast, Chicago weather has been changing by the minute.

Super helpful! We’re going OOT too and have bulbs but the sting in a cup of water is genius!!

Completely understandable, but from my experience most of the plants that I left near the window (glass window) ended up drying out šŸ™, and that is a really tricky think because they also need sunlight šŸ˜….

I use little water bulbs for my thirstier plants and they soak up all the water they need! Do your growlights have timers? If so, you don’t have to keep them on all day, plants like to sleep too! 9 days isn’t too bad, I would just make sure to water your tropicals right before you leave, and if you know some plants will need to be watered during that time, the self watering wick ^^ above is a genius idea for that.

Gotcha. Unfortunately I don’t think these grow lights have timers. That’s what I was thinking too, it wouldn’t survive under these lights 24/7. Thanks so much for your insight. Extremely helpful
