Why are my chilli plant leaves getting eaten up or being torn? Is it infested? Any thoughts on how I can fix it?

They look like the received too much sun and are now sunburnt. I’d suggest moving to an indirect sunlight location. You can remove some of the burnt leaves but don’t remove them all. And give it a good water it more than the top 2 inches of soil is dry.

Peppers love sun ☀️
0 likesI would try a few things: Plants like peppers and tomatoes, have baby leaves at the bottom of the plant. These are called "suckers." You need to "pinch the suckers" on pepper plants (btw that's where the term "green thumb" comes from👌) You have to take away the smaller leaves that are pulling nutrients from the stronger leaves. I always think of the movie Wayne's World "it's sucking my will to live!" 🤣 Once you snap those suckers, remove the other leaves that are dry or brown (once a leaf can't photosynthesize, it's of no use to the plant any longer) I think it will be more healthy. The leaves look like birds are getting to them. Birds love pepper plants. They don't have the ability to taste "spicy" flavors, so there's nothing stopping them from taking bites. Birds can see colors, so what I've done in my garden is get a bunch of rainbow pinwheels from the dollar store. I put them in all my pots and garden beds. As they spin in the breeze, they keep the birds from landing. 😎

Great trick for pinwheels. When you say remove those brown leaves, do you mean completely remove those or just cut the brown part off? I’ll check for suckers 😂😂.
