I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong with this Black Velvet Alocasia! The leaf is losing color?? Any ideas? Soil is damp but not wet.

I have questions. Is that a flower bloom back there? How long have you had it?

Hello! Yes I think it is, do you think it’s because it’s flowering?

I hear flowers take a lot of energy from the plant and they were already prone to yeeting old leaves for new ones. Unless you’re gonna pollinate, you might want to chop the bloom…

More light. And let the top inch of the soil dry out before watering. They don’t actually like to be constantly moist. Let it breathe a bit more. Even better yet change that soil to an airy aroid soil mix.
