Anyone know how to help this poor calla/arum lily? It’s been deteriorating since I’ve gotten it and I cannot seem to find out what the heck is wrong with her. I’ve debated just… throwing her out, but I’m not a quitter, haha. Any tips or help is very much appreciated for this poor thing.

It might be due to over fertilizing or the wrong type of soil. I’d recommend researching the best kind os soil and repotting her. Don’t fertilize for a while after repotting.

Was actually root rot 😅 but I’ll be sure to keep your suggestion in mind! I have had her for a solid couple months and only started to fertilize her with a different fertilizer than what was already in the soil, if there was any in the first place about two-ish weeks ago? Probably a lot sooner. I suspect she had a bit of root rot in the beginning and just kinda… floated in the middle of deterioration and “I’m not dying on you… for now”. I’ve repotted her in soil after disinfecting and getting all those dead roots off, which just fell off with very minimal pulling.

Good! Keep her in the shade until she recovers then slowly move her back to her original position.

I’m sorry to hear about the root rot. 😞 But awesome job on repotting her! 🌟 Give her plenty of time to recover. I’ve learned from experience that you can’t rush these things.

About a year ago all my leaves up and died. Then I was out of town for a couple months and it was totally ignored. When I returned it was growing again and looked beautiful until a couple weeks ago. Now most of the leaves are dying. I was wondering if it’s normal for it to do this annually?
