Morning, I have a problem. I received the beautiful basket of live plants as a Mother’s Day gift. It has soil in it with fake moss on top of it. There is no drainage hole at the bottom and n the basket. I’ve only watered it a couple of times but now all 3 plants are looking a bit sad. The soil is wet, slightly more than damp. My questions are……. Should I take all 3 plants out and repot them separately or just take them out of the basket and put them all in a pot with drainage? Oh the plants are yellow flowering Kalanchoe, African violet and Gerbera Daisy’s. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I would repot them separately bc each of those plants have different watering requirements. Daisy - every 3-5 days, violet - every week, kalanchoe - every 2 weeks (when soil is dry)

Thanks Spencer that’s pretty much what I was thinking. I hate to take this apart cause it’s so pretty and was so sweet of my friend but I’d also hate to lose the plants. I’ll show the results. 😊

Maybe when you pot them up separately, find a cache pot that will hold all three.

Well here is the outcome of my repotting all three plants. I’m happy with them. I used appropriate soil for each one and discovered that the soil they were in was soaking wet. They put a plastic liner in the basket so that’s why it didn’t leak when I watered it which by the way I only did once since I got it thank heavens. Each of these pots with drainage. So last question I did not water them once I repotted them in pretty dry soil since the soil that came out with the plant and roots was really wet. I took some off of course but I think I should leave them alone for about a week, any thoughts or recommendations?????

Lovely! I agree I think you should let them rest a little if they still had some moisture when you repotted them.
