Strawberry plant

Hello, new to gardening here! I’ve recently planted corn, bush beans, potatoes and peppers in an outdoor garden and I also have potted strawberries and a rose bush. In searching for the best fertilizer/ plant food I can use for all I have seen many suggestions for worm castings. Does anyone here have any experience using this for all types of plants or any suggestions?

My husband has a vermicomposter so we have castings a plenty. Wonderful source of low level nitrogen, good bacteria and baby worms! Super easy to use. I sprinkle liberally over the garden bed and work into the top layer of soil. Very important to do that because sunlight can kill off the bacteria in the castings. You can also make worm tea to use on your plant as an organic pesticide. My understanding is the bacteria will attack soft bodied pests. I’m not sure about it but the hugsband swears by it. I don’t know the exact amounts, but you steep the castings in water overnight using a bubbler to keep the water oxygenated. The next day you can use the resulting “tea” on your plants. As this is essentially poop water, I would try not to breath it in and wash well after application.
