I just got this Japanese Aralia last weekend and placed her on my front patio. I’m in the Fort Worth Tx area, zone 8. The patio faces east and gets 2-3 hours of direct very early morning sun then dappled to complete shade the rest of the day. She’s drooping. 🤷🏻‍♀️ No bugs. I went ahead and watered her early to the app’s recommendation as she was dry but I’m curious if it’s simply too hot in Texas to try to keep her outside. What are your thoughts? Pictured left, the day I bought her. Pictured right, today…droopy

Try bottom watering, see how much she sucks up that way.

I read some information from the University of Arizona, and it says the Japanese Aralia is very heat sensitive. So it’s probably more about the temperature than the light right now. They describe it as having “moderate water use.” Perhaps just bring her inside and take it easy on the watering?
