Any staghorn fern experts on here? I got this huge fern from a local nursery and discovered that it had scales when I got it home. I repotted it and treated with horticultural oil and systemic granules, and put on a headlamp and got to work manually removing all the scale. It was not a huge infestation, but it made me very nervous since I’ve never dealt with them before and I didn’t want to compromise all my plants, so it’s sitting in the hallway. I’m afraid it only gets a a few hours of evening light in the hall and I’m worried that with the relocating and insect treatment that it might not adapt to its new pot. So far it seems like it’s doing fine, but it anyone has any tips for keeping him healthy during this transition period please let me know! It’s been almost 2 weeks since the first treatment and repotting .

It sure looks a little stressed. I would recommend that you try to mist it more often to help it hydrate better until it has settled in.

It looks like it needs a really big planter too.
