Hi, can someone please help me with my succulent? It needs its leaves for chlorophyll, but they keep dying off and I think once they all fall off, it won’t survive. The pot has no drainage, could that be the issue, that it’s too wet?

It definitely needs drainage

Thank you so much guys! If I put small sized lava stones at the bottom, it should drain right? And lava stones are good for plants, right?

I would go with a terracota pot with a drainage hole. It’s much safer for succulents specially if you are starting out. Good luck!

That should be okay but it’s best to have a hole in the bottom. If it’s a decorative planter I usually keep the plant in its nursery pot and just place that in the decorative planter. Either option would be better than no drainage though!

Also make sure you’re not watering too often, succulents like to dry out a little :)
