Found this Ponytail Palm at a clearance Sale at Lowe’s. Poor thing has Mealybugs! I’ve already purchased a pesticide and repotted the plant with well-draining soil (all of my plants use a cacti/succulent mix), but I was wondering if anyone has any other tips to ensure its survival?

I think I have mealy bugs on my propagated English Ivy I found outside under some hedges. Not quite sure how to deal with them either. But if you mix cinnamon powder with no sugar, just ground cinnamon in water and water your plants with it, and spray them with it, that should help kill the mealybugs, and it also works as a natural fungicide.

I use a combination of neem oil, water, hydrogen peroxide, peppermint oil and tea tree oil. It works great with all bugs especially mealy bugs. Helps the leaves as well and smells good

I put in a spray bottle and spray all my plants. I also spray new ones as soon as I get them

If you dab each bug with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol, it kills them on the spot.
