I found this small piece of log in front of a store. I took it home, scraped the middle out and filled it with soil. When I go to Lowe’s for new plants, I also look for pieces that have fallen off and just need a little tlc to start thriving again. That’s why it’s only three leaves. I started with 5 leaves but two died off and these lived. I know it’s going to take a while but when this plant gets some height, it’s going to be so pretty. I saw a tire the other day and wanted to take it home 🤣 everything is a plant pot to me now! Do y’all like it? Can you see the vision? Follow me on tiktok @lay.grew.it

I just spray it lightly with a spray bottle instead of pouring water in it.

Are those succulent leaves? If so they need to dry out between waterings. If they don’t have roots yet they shouldn’t be watered at all until after they’ve grown roots and new shoots. Succulents store their water in the leaves and the plant will use that leaf as a resource when separated from its parent plant. You would be better off putting a Pothos or tradescantia in the log. Cool idea though!

Yes they are sucs. They have already taken root. I’m not sure what you’re trying to teach me here…

Succulents are an odd choice for what you are trying to accomplish. Those leaves will have to grow a whole new plant which will take time and they won’t spread the way something like tradescantia would. Just sharing my thoughts. It’s a very cool planter idea!
