I never knew plants preferred filtered water. Is that true?? I have bad luck with plants and I’m wondering if this could be a factor. How do you give your plants filtered water?

I either buy distilled water or get rain water collected. I’m also looking into a zero water filter (see if I use enough distilled to make it cheaper to buy the filters).

It also depends on the plants how bad tap water effects them as well as what your tap water has in it. Most tropicals are not fans of fluoride and chlorine.

About 6 months ago I switched to watering all my plants with filtered water. I personally use a brita and my plants seemed to really appreciate that switch. If you’re looking to try it out I def recommend getting a Brita! I use the blue filter, it’s a bit more expensive but lasts longer and filters out more stuff.

I have a Brita water pitcher that I bought to water my plants. I keep it filled so that my water is always ready when needed. I have 57 plants, and having a filtered water picture is more manageable than frequently buying distilled water. I also live in Phoenix, AZ; gathering rainwater is not a good option either.

I love this but what do you do for nutrients?

Nope, I keep it in cupboard. As some of my babies don’t like cold water.
