Iām being given this, I think itās an alocasia polly, to rescue. It was left neglected at my friendās office and I offered to give it a shot. Can anyone help me with what to do with her to give her a chance?? Pretty please āŗļø

I had a similar problem with my rescue Alocasia. I think mine was a result of too little humidity. I keep it near my humidifier. The original brown leaf on mine never got better and continued to whither so I let it go. It did sprout a healthy new leaf without the browning, so I think itās relatively happy. Iām no expert, in fact the opposite with alocasia. Just my experience.

The leaf with more brown broke when I got it home so I just did a cut below it. The stem has a great root system and is in water until I figure out if it can even sprout another leaf in its condition. I repotted the other one and will monitor it. Thank you!

Personally I would check for corms and try to sprout those into little baby plants.

And cut the leaves off the mother plant since it has a good root system and see if itāll resprout.

Mine flipped over dead today. Oh well, I tried. Will try and propagate the corms and see if it works.
