Hi there! My jade plant has been growing strong for 2+ years. The “trunk” is now pretty thick. Does anyone recommend I repot it into a bigger pot? I’ve got some 6” ones but those might be too big. I’ve honestly been surprised at how this one just keeps growing. Thank you!

Plant it into a 4 if you have one. But I would put it in the 6 to let it grow even bigger

I don’t see 6 being a problem. Just don’t panic with transplant shock. Amend your watering. I like to put a thicker layer of perlite at the base of the new pot to avoid pooling water. Account for the new space and a water bit less or less frequently. And if you’re worried about it, you could use Terra cotta, but I don’t know this plant very well, so I don’t know it’s water needs off hand

My 6” pot is terracotta! Thanks so much, hopefully updating the pot type and size will make Planta adjust the watering schedule.

I would say if you tend to overwater, stick to a 4 inch! But if not, 6 might be good! You wouldn’t have to repot for a while :)

Thank you! I’m good letting it go for a bit, and watering less. I’m honestly surprised at how resilient this guy is!

They really are! Mine does best when I forget about it for a little :)
