my mom gave me this aloe, I grow it in water but I was told not to keep it submerged constantly. she’s starting to brown and the edges are wilting but she still feels firm. what’s wrong?

Pot it in soil. Im no expert but water could be too moist for aloe. Though it can be done. I don’t see many people use water for aloe

I have had a piece of aloe in water for over a year and it’s not doing that. How much light is it getting? The one I have outside that gets blasted with sun is that color on the tips.

Also mine has water up to right beneath where the actual leaves start and I haven’t experienced issues with that. It’s in my site propagations if you wanna check it out.

It’s right in the window, maybe I should move it father? And I should keep it in water more?

Yes I think the color is from too much Sun and the crisping is from too little water in the jar.
