Hi Just purchased this bulb for my monsters Thai and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this LED bulb? It's 30 W, any idea on how far it should be from plant?

    So I did a lot of research to answer this for us! Since the wattage isn’t that high and it’s an LED build that doesn’t give off too much heat at all it’s safe to keep it at as close as 12 inches away from your plants at full brightness. I would start off a little further away and see how your plant likes it. Then gradually decrease the distance over the next few weeks and monitor. Alternatively, you could put the lights on a lower setting and put the plants right under them; then gradually increase the intensity and monitor how your plants are doing. If you have a more mature plant, then you can place it further so the light distributes evenly. As far as how long you should keep it on, 6-8 hours should be plenty if your light has a timer. Also as long as it’s not super close to the plant, don’t worry about leaving the light on for too long, as your plants will love the light either way. I hope this helps lol!

    Wow that’s nifty! I haven’t seen one like that before. I agree with xoana about starting further and getting close overtime as you monitor it. I got grow lights over the winter and that technique worked for me. If you don’t have room to start further away because of your setup, I’ve also used a sheer fabric over the plant. Then I give it an hour or so uncovered and increase the amount of time it’s uncovered over a few weeks until it’s uncovered all the time
