So most of my plants under the grow light died. I treated them for ants and scales but had no luck. I lowered the light so it’s closer to them and switched to 6 hrs of red light a day instead of blue and red. I’m at a loss here for what to do because they just die and grow fungus no matter what I do. I’m broken up about it because I was hoping I could save a few of my plants from the last moldy apartment that made me sick. I’ve changed the soil and pots but it feels hopeless.

It’s hard to say from here. Sorry about your plants. How much are you watering them and what kind of soil are they growing in?

I water the pepper like once or twice a week when the soil is dry an inch and half down. The big salvia stays wet for awhile so every 3 weeks-month

Put them near a window and try some fertilizer try need oil Make sure you’re watering wen only the top 2 inches of soil or dry And limit the use of the grow light hope this helps

6 hours is too little and they need all the colors. They need 10-14 hours of light to thrive. What type of plants are they?

I agree with others mentioning more natural light instead of a grow light. I’ve had problems with mouldy soil as well. Recently I’ve started baking my potting soil in a cheap aluminum pan at 200F for about 45 minutes. Don’t know for sure yet if it’s helping but I haven’t seen any mould from that soil yet!

I wish I could put them in window. I guess this might be it for them.
