I have a question, if the soil has white mold, I’m assuming, it’s penicillin. Or just mold on general, that can indicate, that there is root rot, and the plant is rotting, or is at risk of doing so, because of the mold, which means that if I do see any mold, especially mushrooms, I should repot the whole plant, into a new pot with new soil, and throw out the old soil and clean the other pot? And if so, how do I clean the spores off of the plant to prevent it from happening again? Would a mixture of Apple Cider Vinegar and mostly water, kill the spores? I know high concentrations of Apple Cider Vinegar can kill off plants, but if it’s mostly water, because it’s so strong it won’t, and you spray the base of the plant to prevent it from wilting, so I was just wondering if I should do that, and if that will definitely help.

Mold can be commonly seen on the soil surface and it doesn’t have to mean the plant is being overwatered (even if it can be). The mold is only a symptom in that case and it’s more important to fix the cause of the overwatering than treating the mold itself. Mold doesn’t harm the plant directly. But mold can also appear if the soil is a little moist and contains materials that aren’t fully decomposed yet. It can also appear when using certain organic fertilizers.

Ok, thank you so much, I understand a lot better now than I did before.
