I have trouble with these too… a friend says that Distilled water and a cover/dome for humidity is a must! I plan to try again soon

  That may work! I was thinking like the plastic lid on a QT cup kinda dome.

I think distilled water might be the way to go. I got one (it was in kinda poor shape) and it died almost immediately after I used tap water on it.

My brother kept one alive for a while with distilled water. Dry AZ killed it :(
