How long does it typically take for Planta to add suggestions for plants? Iāve tried a handful that donāt seem to be getting added even though Iāve given suggestions from the actual information tags with the plants weeks ago. Like, Jade Craig compacta or the Reverse spider plant (Chlorophytum Comosum Variegatum). It seems like a lot of the mini plants arenāt in here.
I just, for example, search for a standard āChlorophytum Comosumā and add that, but when it asks if youād like to āname it or choose the common name?ā Iāll just type in āChlorophytum Comosum Variegatumā. Not perfect, but at least youād get the care schedule.
2 Likes I tried that but it seems the care directions for the larger one are different. Which is why my spider is always delayed in watering. :( a couple of my plants have died because of it. Sadly, when I am caring through planta I forget the stragglers. Might just go back to all manual if it is a short time until they add them.

Have you tried to change the pot size and seeing if it makes a difference? The sizes go down to 2inch. If the schedule is wrong, Iāve had luck just emailing support and letting them know itās a little off and theyāll usually check for you!
0 Likes Thanks! I can try that in the meantime :) ultimately Iām hoping to not have to find a bunch of work arounds to do something that should reasonably be in there. But Iām seeing that more people can relate to this.
1 Like Totally get that. Iām sure this is the first time the staff have seen some of these feedbacks so Iām sure theyāre working on improving things! I use the pot size setting a lot for my Hoyas because thereās a lot of uncommon/rare ones that arenāt mass sold yet so some of them are just ācarnosaā with a pot size tweak for schedule š¤£
0 Likes Honestly, I hadnāt considered the pot size tweak so that was super helpful! Lol. I get all these little āminiā versions of plants that costa farms probably bred casually. Iām not surprised they arenāt in here. I wonāt buy their new series of plant hybrids that have no names. Nameless premium mish mash = future dead plant lol.

For example, if 4 different users requests the same Hoya species we will take that before a Hoya species with just 1 request. If thereās a new plant thatās urgent to add you can always email us on contact@getplanta.com āŗļø However, in your case, the Dracaena āJanet Craig Compactaā is mislabelled. āJanet Craigā and āCompactaā are two different culrivars and your plant looks like a compacta āŗļø I will check on C.comosum āVariegatumā immediately. Regarding your spider plants always dying you can also contact us via the Dr.Planta feature in the app if you want personal help figuring out why it happens. That feature is for all premium users šæ Otherwise you have the ādisease and pestsā group here in Social. You can change the schedule yourself by setting up a custom schedule. Otherwise itās important to make sure that all the settings are put in correctly so the watering schedule has as much information to adjust to as possible š
