Any advice for planting Pothos propagations? They always start drooping and I’m not sure how much to water them to encourage more root growth.

I have heard whenever planting a water propped plant to make sure it is constantly moist for the first few weeks to ease the adjustment. Also, I think the drooping is normal due to the initial shock.

How long are your roots? Occasionally I would have success with 1-2” roots but have since ensured they’re 3-5” in length. I also agree with Liz, and I “over water” the first couple weeks and then they seem to acclimate well.

I started mine in water until roots formed then into potting mix kept moist and in a sunny window for a few days. This was all at work and when I felt confident they were doing okay, I brought them home and under a grow light. They’re now thriving. Best of luck 🪴

I recommend water propagation as a start. The. You don’t need to worry about over- or under watering them ☺️ When transplanting them into soil it’s important to keep the soil slightly moist and provide them with plenty of indirect light. You can try to increase the humidity too to help them even more 🌿

I propagate in wet sphagnum moss and later mix some soil & perlite into the moss when I want to start transitioning to soil. Every time I water the moss I do so with distilled water & added liquid silica for nutrients.
