What was the plant that got you into plants? For me it was pothos! Growing up my dad always had so many different kinds trailing pothos all over the house. When I moved out I got myself a golden pothos. It grew like a weed and then I got a snow queen and a neon and that was that. I now have so many different types of plants but trailing plants will always be my favorite especially pothos!

For me it was actually succulents, then I saw my friends absolutely massive golden pothos (like 4-5 feet long) and I wanted smth like that so I got into plants (I still suck at keeping succulents alive XD)

I’ve been trying my hand at succulents… they hate me but I’m trying.

Mine was a boston fern although now i can't keep any fern alive. I've had plants since i was 8 or 10 years old. Also a bunch of pothos. I like trailing plants but now it seems like my favorites are dracaenas and palms..

My fave are probably slow climbers like monsteras or some types of philodendrons

Ferns hate my care. They would rather wither than thrive.

Mine started with my moms Pothos trailing as a kid. When I moved out she gave me part of it and a spider plant. I’ve kept those forever. Then all of a sudden I got a marble queen one day because I thought she was pretty… fast forward about 6 months later and now I have 150+ plants and props. Living in a jungle. 😊 and I love it.

WOW 150 + is ALOT. I had 100+ plants until this year. I've been downsizing alot this summer. When i had 100 + it was too many for my 1 bedroom apartment with only 1 east facing window and the rest north facing. (I have growlights everywhere though) They were all squished together i couldn't see alot of them so i decided to downsize. I think I'll keep about 50 of them. That way i can enjoy them all.

Yes then there is that. Trying to see the beauty in them all is hard. I have a small space also and have tried giving a few away. I just ordered a new shelf to replace an old small one that should help. My biggest “try” is staying out the stores and online ordering or buying any more. I do have one corner in living room but I feel they are all cramped. So I’m working on it. 😌🤪😞😵‍💫 it’s so hard. 🤣

I'm sorry but I just have an unexplainable dislike for snake plants T-T

My inexplicable dislike is the spider plant. We’ve all got one.

when i was a little kid, i found a broken trailing jade (peperomia rotundifolia) stem on the sidewalk and threw it in some soil out of curiosity. i've always had plants in my house growing up but now they're slowly taking over since (in the past few years) we've been able to keep them alive lol.

I really only became more serious about the hobby a few years ago. I have always had a few plants but nothing exciting. But I went to a bridal shower in 2012 and they gave everyone a small Oxalis. She is still with me....not impressive right now, but she has produced corms over the years and I am on a mission to get her big and lush again!
