Looking for some help with my Audrey Ficus. She’s been dropping leaves constantly. I did some trimming today so this is after but I want her to thrive. I think I may need to repot with better soil or give her some more support at the top. Any thoughts?

How’s the humidity near her? I had some of my plants a bit too near my heat source and had significant leaf drop. I moved and supplemented with a humidifier and they are doing better. (Totally still spindly though!)

She’s not near a vent but definitely not humid in this room! I tried it move her closer to an outlet so a small humidifier could reach and she hated the new spot and got worse. Maybe I’ll get a better humidifier that fills the room better, that can just be near an outlet.

The one leaf with dry edges does indicate not enough water and the leafs look a little yellowish so I would think not enough nutrients. I would repot but make sure the pot size is not too big because that can cause root rot. Just a one size up would be good. Also try watering from the bottom sometimes that makes a huge difference. I only put water on top when adding liquid fertilizer I would pot it in a one size bigger nursery pot and then put in a decorative pot. That way I can bottom water and make sure my plant isn’t getting too much water. If you want her bushier then you have to chop the tops to encourage growth from the sides. This always hurts me to do but some times needed. You can YouTube it for advice from experts

I agree. She dries out very quick too even following a watering schedule. I think repotting with better soil may be the trick. She’s not currently potted in the decorative pot so I should be able to go up one size with no problem! Thank you!

Insufficient light can cause yellowing and leaf drop especially when the plant relies on natural light. Length of day shortens and sun angle changes in winter months. Moving to a new location can mean less light. Add a grow light if needed. Try not to move a ficus. They protest by throwing off leaves. 🪴🍀
