I need help with my air plant. I do not see an air plant group. This one in the picture has lost many arms. I know to shake plant after watering. I have given it air plant fertilizer, I just put all my plants soaking in water for 20-30 minutes, shake all water off then put upside down on a towel. Should I just spray it and not soak it. This is the only one like this I have. Thanks for your help!!

Your watering routine sounds good. Is it getting enough light?

Has this plant bloomed? Air plants are a type of bromeliad. They bloom once and then produce pups as they die.

I did not know this! I know mine always used to die when I would soak them in water. I don’t know if other people have had more luck with misting them.

You should soak them weekly and miss them during the week. They are sensitive to chemicals and tap water so make sure you use filtered, distilled, or rainwater.

      Not since I’ve had it.

Thanks. I’ve been using tap. I’ll change to distilled

Unrelated but that tank in the background is wayyy too small for a betta fish! Bettas need at least five gallons. I'm not trying to be rude, but that is borderline abuse. It only takes 10 minutes of research to figure out what a proper setup looks like

Then why do they sell them in small cups at pet smart? That’s where I got him

Because unfortunately most chain pet stores prioritize money over the welfare of animals. I sincerely ask you to do some research and see what actual experts say about fish care

In this photo the leaves look rolled up. That’s a sign of dehydration, and it should be fully dry within 4 hrs to prevent rot in between the leaves.
