Can u pls help me? My plant was thriving and I usually kill everything. I was really proud of myself. I feel sucky now. I put it outside for two hours two weeks ago and this is what happened (see pic). I water it weekly and I cut off the dead leaves. Now I see some good leaves are discoloring again. Any ideas on what I can do to save this plant.

Maybe try less sunlight. It can rot like that because of either too much sun or not enough water.

It looks like it got stressed out from the random heatwave, it was over watered and now the roots could be rotting. I would take it out of the pot and check for mushy roots. Don’t worry, it’s not dead. It will bounce back but that takes time.

Because I usually kill my plans too, even though I love them and beg them not to die, I’ve been using moisture indicator sticks that you can buy from Amazon. I put them in the soil and then they turn blue when the soil is moist. It seems better than constantly sticking my finger in the soil to see if they’re dried out yet. See the blue on the stick? The soil is still moist.
