Our lipstick plant Sephora finally flowered!!!
Any tips ie: soil, light window direction and where your located, not specifically
2 likesWe like in Arkansas. West facing window. All purpose soil is fine. It really likes to dry out in between waterings, almost completely. Bottom watering is preferred because the roots will sit in the water and the leaves cell walls will burst like it’s being overwatered. Same goes if you get water on the leaves. It doesn’t like to touch stuff. It prefers hanging over trailing. I fertilize with slow release granular fertilizer and tend to have a SLIGHTLY heavier hand then it says, but my partner fertilizes on the lighter side, so it works out.
2 likesThank you. My problem might be I don’t have any east or west windows so I’m trying to use grow lights.
1 likeIt really struggled under a grow light for me. I noticed it really preferred the hours of light in the day and such.
1 likeVery nice! I am waiting for my goldfish plant to bloom.
1 likeWe had our goldfish plant flower in the same spot. With that one, the more light the better.
