I’m a new monstera parent, and have been noticing a strange pattern. Every evening I’m seeing drops of water form on the leaves and stems even though I haven’t added any additional water. Is this normal? She is placed in a south facing window with indirect light and some direct sun. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

She’s doing perfect!! the process is called guttation and she’s just released extra water And doesn’t need it. No worries at all my monstera and thai constellation do it too :) keep doing what you do !!

That’s a relief, thank you! Do the leaves need to be misted occasionally or is it best to wait for watering? I know certain plants love a little extra humidity

I moved mine outside on my screened lanai, but I live in humid Florida. I personally don’t mist my plants, but I leave the house a bit warm when I’m not home. I personally don’t think misting helps much. Some folks use humidifiers near their plants, so hopefully someone who does can chime in and speak about how effective they are.

That is perfectly normal. Monstera plants "sweat." Nothing is wrong with yours!
