Hi! My polka dot plant has been growing straight up, I just replanted her to a wider pot because she was getting root bound. How can I make her spread out/ more bushy? Thanks!

Prune it! Trim back the top leaves to encourage more growth.

0 J'aimeThat’s what I thought too
0 J'aimeI don’t have a polka dot plant, but anything that propagates easily I just trim and put the cut pieces back into the soil to grow.
1 j'aimeWould you trim the leaves or the stem? I also have a polka dot plant doing this same thing
0 J'aimeThese plants also go dormant after flowering, so you’ll want to actively pinch off buds (the little purply pointies that don’t spread into leaves) to keep it growing.
1 j'aimeShe looks like she may be reaching upward for a bit more light — polka dots can get a little leggy when they’re stretching If she’s hanging fairly high, you might try lowering her a few inches and see how she responds. I also noticed the soil looks slightly mounded around the base — I recommend gently leveling it out so it’s evenly distributed in the pot. This will allow for better stability for the roots and plant, and more even moisture distribution when watering
