Anyone use watering spikes? For vacay? Just for plants that like to stay moist? Everything?

I do use watering spikes, they work. Just fill them up regularly and I also just let them sit in water if they have drainage holes.

Do you use them all the time? Only on certain plants? I just got a zebra plant and someone said he killed his bc he couldn’t keep up w the watering. Also, I will be going away for 2 weeks in Sept and was wondering if they would work for situations like this

I'm pretty sure that you can put them in with any plant, I don't use them much since I'm really forgetful about refilling them. But they will probably last a few days.

I heavily water before I leave. Those that need extra moisture retention I’ve bagged or marked them for a house sitter to water. I dislike spikes as they allocate water to one areas only but they do work.
